Los Angeles Kings' forward Corey Perry will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after undergoing knee surgery. The 40-year-old was injured Friday while skating at his team's training complex.

The Kings will report for training camp in less than a week. Their season opener is October 7th against the Colorado Avalanche. Perry will be unavailable for camp, the preseason, and the beginning of the season.
