The New Orleans Saints acquired injured wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk from the New England Patriots on Saturday.

While the Saints noted that they acquired the wideout for “future considerations,” multiple media outlets reported they are picking up a seventh-round pick in the 2028 NFL Draft in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2027 draft.

Polk underwent season-ending shoulder surgery last month after sustaining the injury while attempting to block during a preseason game against the Washington Commanders on Aug. 8. He immediately left the field after the play and eventually went to the locker room.

Polk, 23, also underwent surgery on the same shoulder in March and missed all the offseason camps and workouts as well as the beginning of training camp. The game against Washington was
