MADISON, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway following a crash in Madison on Saturday morning.

At around 11:51 a.m. first responders were called to the area of Horsepond Road and Kimberly Lane after a report of a vehicle crash involving a bicyclist, the police department said.

The vehicle in this incident then fled the scene.

Officials said the bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

No further details were released.
