Thousands of people returned to the streets of the capital of Georgia on Saturday to protest the government's anti-Europe actions.
Waving Georgian and European Union flags, they accused the government of derailing Georgia from its pro-Europe path.
Daily protests have been held in Tbilisi and other regions ever since late November, when the prime minister halted the country's EU integration process.
Georgia has seen widespread political unrest and protests since the parliamentary election on 26 October 2024, which was won by Georgian Dream.
Protesters and the country’s opposition declared the result illegitimate amid allegations of vote-rigging, aided by Russia.
Opposition leaders vowed to boycott parliament until a new vote could be held under international supervision and alleged ballot irregularities were investigated.
Since then, the government has jailed several leading opposition figures as part of a crackdown on dissent.
