WARREN, MI -- A 49-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Warren, MI on Friday, Sept. 12.

The woman was struck while walking across Van Dyke Avenue near an intersection with Hartsig Avenue north of 11 Mile Road. She died at the scene, according to a press release from the Warren Police Department.

The crash occurred between 7:45 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The driver stopped after the crash and cooperated with officers at the scene, the release said.

Law enforcement officers from Center Line Public Safety, Sterling Heights Police Department and the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the response.

The crash is still under investigation.
