The buyer purchased the building, located on 185 - 185A Wellington Street, Launceston, in July for $315,000.

The property was subject to its first fire in November, 2012, where it sustained $200,000 in damages.

At the time, it was an Indian restaurant called the Tandoori Bazaar.
