FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Week 2 is here — and it's in prime time.

The Atlanta Falcons (0-1) will play the Minnesota Vikings (1-0) at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET.

While the Falcons lost their season opener, 23-20, at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Vikings won theirs, 27-24, on the road against the Chicago Bears.

Sunday will mark Minnesota's home opener. Atlanta lost there last year in Week 14 by a score of 42-21. It's a very different situation now since both teams feature different quarterbacks. The Falcons have Michael Penix Jr. as their starter, and the Vikings have J.J. McCarthy. Both were first-round draft picks in 2024 . Penix will be making his fifth career start. McCarthy, his second.
