LOS ANGELES – A 24-year-old male pedestrian who was struck and killed by a Metro Expo Line train in Leimert Park was identified Friday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to 2600 block of Exposition Boulevard, between Crenshaw Boulevard and Arlington Avenue, at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday. The train was traveling west on Exposition Boulevard when it struck the pedestrian, according to an LAPD spokesman.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead.
He was identified Friday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Jaion Diaz.
