Three Marion County School Board members said they were surprised by a comment Sheriff Billy Woods made on his agency's Facebook page concerning the school district's policy on allowing gun-detection dogs to search elementary schools.
In the post, the sheriff said, "My frustration comes from our school district that does not allow me to use my gun detection dogs in our elementary schools to help provide the best possible protection for all of our children. And there is … NO REASON OR JUSTIFICATION TO NOT TO DO IT ….. regardless of what they think or believe."
