UPDATE: A few parents have growing concerns for their children after a student threatened over text to bring a gun to Loftis Middle School this week.
The school system, alongside the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, told Local 3 earlier that the threats were unfounded.
Yet, the scare is still leaving some families on edge after recent school shootings across the nation.
