PEKIN, Ill. – One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash in Pekin.

The accident occurred at 7:52 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of South 14th Street and Veterans Drive.

25 News reports, according to State Police, an SUV collided with a pickup truck and a motorhome.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley.

The Coroner’s Office said the victim’s identity will be released Sunday afternoon, pending proper notification of relatives, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

The accident is being investigated by the Illinois State Police and the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
