A Massachusetts driver was hurt early Saturday when his box truck careened off the road and launched into a group of trees, State Police said in a news release.
Shortly before 4:30 Saturday morning, authorities received calls about a crash off the road just before Exit 23 northbound in New Hampton, police said. Troopers responded and found a box truck in trees in the median.
An investigation determined that the driver, Anilton Resende Barros, 21, of Brockton, Mass., had failed to negotiate a turn, traveling straight into the median before striking an embankment. and launched into a group of trees, where it came to a stop, according to the release.
Resende Barros was treated at a hospital for minor injuries after the crash, police said. The cause of the crash remained under investigation
