BATON ROUGE, La. — Florida football faces a pivotal SEC opener at No. 4 LSU on Sept. 13, one that can determine the direction of the rest of the 2025 season.

The Florida Gators (1-1) are coming off an 18-16 upset loss to USF that once again raises questions of the direction of the program under fourth-year coach Billy Napier. The loss dropped Napier to 20-20 overall at UF and 15-7 at The Swamp.

It won't get any easier on the road, as Napier has gone 4-9 in true road games during his UF tenure.

"I love the arena," Napier said. "I love going on the road, and I think as a competitor, I think it brings a different edge to your game."
