Students and parents at Roxbury Prep say they are seeing “new possibilities” at the charter school, just weeks into its first year, despite the building’s close proximity to the opioid-addled Mass and Cass.
Roughly 950 middle- and high school students are still acclimating to the new 83,000 square-foot building, but they say the community here is “strong,” which they believe is a critical tool in ensuring a successful future.
“We have a very strong community; we are all united under one building,” senior Zidane Nogueira told the Herald. “It’s going to impact my learning positively just because we have so many labs, so many resources that make us successful.”
