A film regarded by many as ‘the greatest summer blockbuster of all time’ is now streaming for free on ITVX.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, this adventure classic was released in 1993 and reinvented blockbuster cinema as we know it, spawning decades of sequels, tie-ins and imitators.

In its characters, Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm and Ellie Sattler would go on to become household names… and that’s not to mention the dinosaurs.

We refer, of course, to Jurassic Park, based on the 1990 novel by Michael Crichton.

The film starred Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern among its all-star cast (which even included Samuel L. Jackson in a smaller role), alongside a park-load of state-of-the-art movie dinosaurs.
