SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Several streets in Sioux City were filled with crowds and color on Saturday, Sept. 13, for the return of an event to make a big splash.

The 31st annual ArtSplash made a splash at the Sioux City Art Center on Saturday, the first of its two-day run.

Seventy-five artists set up shop along parts of Pierce and Third Streets, giving people the chance to view and even purchase artwork.

Summer Amman, the ArtSplash coordinator, says in her six years with the event, she has seen many changes, including the date of the event this year.

“With the change in the date,” said Amman, “you know it had been on Labor Day weekend for thirty years, which was great, but moving it two weeks later, we’re really hoping to make it more accessible to more people. Many people we know travel on
