EAST POINT, Ga. — Just beyond the construction workers, their large equipment, and chain-linked fence sits Eat My Biscuits, a restaurant on Main Street in East Point.
"We're sitting in my pension," said Vanetta Roy, who owns the restaurant.
Lately, Roy has been working as the server and the bartender to save money after being down $200,000 in revenue compared to last year.
"The food, the customer service, all of that is there. It's the deterrence the city has created," said Roy.
And the proof was on her customer's plates.
Not a single scrap of food was left.
Roy said the construction outside the eatery is the problem.
She said it started in February and was supposed to be completed by April.
It's now September.
