LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - It will be a warm and humid night across Acadiana as temperatures settle in the 70s with mostly clear conditions. Sunday begins with plentiful sunshine. Temperatures warm quickly, reaching 90 by lunchtime and the mid 90s by the afternoon. Sun and clouds will mix with the potential for one or two isolated showers, though most areas will remain rain-free.

We are monitoring a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic that has a medium chance of development over the next week as it moves westward. There is plenty of time to keep a watch on it before it would ever affect land areas, so we will just monitor for now.
