Six candidates are running to be Lord Mayor in the October local government elections in the City of Perth.
Current deputy Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds, current councillors Clyde Bevan, Viktor Ko and Catherine Lezer and Shirley Vine and Chris Patton all want the top job left vacant when Basil Zempilas entered State politics.
In his short time in the chair Cr Reynolds said he had delivered “results, stability, progress and a record of getting things done for Perth.”
Both Cr Bevan and Cr Ko terms end in October.
Cr Ko, who has also been on council for five years, said that he was “socially and not financially invested in Perth” and the city needed someone who can “bring people together”.
