PHILADELPHIA, PA – A teenager was wounded in a roadway shooting Saturday evening near the 800 block of Brill Street, leaving investigators searching for answers as the scene remained locked down.

The gunfire erupted around 7:05 p.m., striking a 15-year-old boy in the leg. Officers quickly transported him to Einstein Hospital, where he is receiving treatment. His condition has not yet been disclosed.

Authorities confirmed the incident occurred in the 2nd District and said no arrests have been made. A motive for the shooting has not been determined.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group has taken over the case and continues to canvass the area as the probe remains active.
