YEADON – There’s plenty to like about Miles Boone.
The Academy Park junior has been very productive in the first month of the season. Even during AP’s disappointing 0-2 start, Boone found ways to stand out, making plays in the backfield and shutting things down in the secondary. Last week, he had an interception return to the house to spark the Knights’ first win.
Saturday’s game had a little more significance for Boone and the Knights, the Del Val League opener at the Rap Curry Athletic Complex against Penn Wood. Boone was ready to deliver a big-time performance.
Boone accumulated 105 rushing yards, averaging eight yards a carry, including a 56-yard sprint to the end zone that helped Academy Park roll to a 29-7 win.
