PORTAGE, Michigan — Office Depot has fired an employee at its Portage, Michigan, store after a video surfaced showing a refusal to print a poster for a vigil honoring Charlie Kirk, WWMT reported .
The order had been placed by the Kalamazoo County Republican Party for a poster featuring Kirk to be used at a prayer vigil held at Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo, according to WWMT.
The customer asked staff to print the poster, but the employee, identifying herself as the manager on duty, declined, saying the store didn’t print “propaganda,” Fox Business reported .
Fox Business further reported that when pressed by the customer, the manager explained the refusal by saying Kirk was a political figure. Another employee present said the general manager would address it Monday.
