CHAFFEE, Mo. (KFVS) - Former Chaffee baseball players, announcers, coaches, and fans showed up to celebrate 100 years of baseball at Harmon Field.

Chaffee community members gathered to celebrate the history of baseball and sports that have been played at Harmon Field.

Delbert Horman, head of the Harmon Field Centennial Committee, said, “It’s a gathering place, especially, the older people remembered all the fun. This was the going place. There were no other ball fields in town, but this one. There were games played every night. So you could come out to the ball field, even on the weekend.”

Former player Terry Glenzy said the event was a reunion of sorts, “It means a lot. This is where I spent a lot of my time. My kids spent a lot of time out here. A lot of memories come back seeing a lo
