The rumble and roar of over 1,000 motorcycles filled the air in Port Alberni Saturday as the 41st annual Port Alberni Toy Run took over several city streets during the early afternoon.

“Awesome, as usual. It’s an iconic Port Alberni event. We look forward to it every year,” said spectator Melody.

Before the ride even began, bikers gathered in Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park to register and meet up with old friends.

“It’s a camaraderie with all the bikers and we don’t care what kind of bike you ride as long as you ride that’s all we care about,” said Eric Abraham who came up from Victoria.
