NAPA, Calif. (AP) — Ben Griffin is clinging to a one-shot lead and has a view over his shoulder never seen on the PGA Tour. He has two players at No. 1 in the world chasing him in the Procore Championship.
One is Jackson Koivun, the Auburn junior and No. 1 in the world amateur ranking who already has a PGA Tour card locked up when he turns pro.
The other is far more daunting — Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 player in all of golf, who had a double bogey Saturday and still shot an 8-under 64.
Griffin made his first bogey of the tournament on the final hole and had to settle for a 2-under 70, narrowing his lead to one shot over Koivun and two shots over Scheffler.
Griffin was at 16-under 200.
