PROSPECT, Ky. —
Nearly 1,000 people cycled and walked in the 17th annual Bike to Beat Cancer, Saturday morning.
The money raised during the race benefits the Norton Cancer Institute to provide funds for research, prevention and early detection programs, advanced treatment and patient support.
Chief Development Officer of Norton Healthcare, Linnie Meyer, said, "Folks are coming together unified with one goal: to ride, to remember, and to raise dollars in the fight against cancer. Many, many people are here year over year fighting and raising dollars for people that they love and people they care about and doing it hand in hand with the Norton Cancer Institute."
