SOUTH BEND, Ind. (KBTX) - Texas A&M safety Bryce Anderson was treated on the field by trainers and eventually carted off the field while strapped to a back board at the end of the second quarter of Saturday’s game at Notre Dame.
Anderson had feeling in all of his extremities and was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure, according to an A&M spokesperson.
Though his limbs were strapped to the board and his neck was in a brace, Anderson was able to give a thumbs up to the crowd as he left the field on the cart. He received a standing ovation from fans of both programs after the gesture.
Anderson ran up on the end of a 25-yard passing play from quarterback CJ Carr to tight end Eli Raridon, lowering his shoulder to make a tackle behind the receiver. On the other side of Rarid
