Karl-Anthony Towns inducted into Kentucky basketball Hall of Fame

New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns has added another accolade to his trophy case. On Saturday, the Knicks’ big man was inducted into the University of Kentucky athletics Hall of Fame, per the X account of Kentucky’s men’s basketball team.

Towns only spent one season with the Kentucky Wildcats in 2014-15. However, he was spectacular, averaging 10.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game as a freshman, leading Kentucky to a 38-1 record. He took home All-American honors, and All-SEC honors for his efforts.

Fast forward to the 2015 NBA Draft, and Towns was selected first-overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he spent the first nine seasons of his NBA career before being traded to
