BATON ROUGE, La. − Florida football was unable to get the response it was looking for in its SEC opener at No. 4 LSU on Sept. 13
The Florida Gators (1-2, 0-1 SEC) stumbled through a turnover-filled effort in a 20-10 loss to LSU that again displayed the struggles for Florida on the offensive side of the ball.
Florida has scored just two touchdowns over its last eight quarters and dropped to 20-21 overall and 4-10 in road games under head coach Billy Napier.
Napier said that starting quarterback D.J. Lagway was making "exponential improvement" in practice this week, but Lagway struggled through the worst game of his Florida career with one touchdown and five interceptions.
