( 25News Now ) - After being picked as the #9 team in the AP Top 25 poll this past week, Illinois came out firing after a slow first quarter on their way to a shutdown 38-0 victory over Western Michigan.

Luke Altmyer was 17 for 26 with 196 passing yards and had three combined passing and rushing TDs. Kaden Feagin added 100 rushing yards and a TD, while defensive end Leon Lowery had four tackles, two TFLs, and a sack.

They go on the road next Saturday to play #22 Indiana at 6:30 on NBC.
