President Donald Trump ordered for the American flag to be flown at half-staff in honor of Charlie Kirk , the Turning Point USA founder and conservative activist who was shot and killed at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Sept. 10.

The order applies to all U.S. flags at “at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions,” according to the proclamation.
