President Donald Trump boasted at a Rose Garden prayer service in May that his administration was " bringing back religion in our country."

He's also seeking to unchain it in federal workplaces, with rules that could have implications for all U.S. workers.

Over the summer, the administration issued guidelines declaring that the nation's 3 million federal employees — the largest workforce in the country — had the right to pray, display religious symbols and discuss their faiths on the job without fear of discipline or discrimination. That includes engaging in "polite discussion" of why co-workers should adopt a colleague's religion.
