WHILE potential U.S. Senate hopeful John E. Sununu continues his exploratory tour of the state, Republican rival Scott Brown is staffing up his team.

The Union Leader has learned that Brown is bringing on a seasoned operative to become his political director.

Michael McEleney of Amherst was New Hampshire regional political director for President Donald Trump’s campaign in 2024.

“As our campaign continues to gain momentum, I am thrilled to have Michael join our growing team,” Brown said in a statement.
