NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - A North Canton man was arrested following a manhunt after he allegedly stabbed another man Saturday night.
According to a release from North Canton Police, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 900 block of Pittsburg Avenue NW just before midnight.
Witnesses told police that the man, later identified as 30-year-old Branden N. Grindle, a resident of Heritage Villas, approached the victim in the backyard of a home on the same block and stabbed him in the neck with an unknown object.
The stabbing caused severe lacerations, and the victim was taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
The North Canton Police Department and the Jackson Township Police immediately launched a manhunt.
