Cruisers certainly do not expect an arrest to take place during a sailing. Unfortunately, we have seen multiple instances in recent times. U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently intervened on the Carnival Sunship, arresting four employees. The crew members were flown out of the United States the following day, and are now banned from the United for 10 years. Carnival has remained silent over the incident , a typical reaction among the major cruise lines.

As for Norwegian Cruise Line, they've been busy with cruise drama of their own. The cruise line recently warned passengers from the U.S. that proper identification is needed. If this isn't met, they run the risk of not being able to fly back home.
