ATLANTA — Why was Jose Altuve taken out of the Astros game against the Atlanta Braves on Saturday night? Fans had to wait a few innings to find out.

Altuve singled in the top of the third inning as he continued to break out of his recent hitting slump. But then in the bottom of the inning, he was replaced by Ramón Urías.

If you've been following the Astros this season, you know injuries have been a big issue with the team. So would Altuve be the next man down?

For three innings, fans, the game broadcaster and even Astros beat writer Brian McTaggart wondered.

But then in the bottom of the sixth inning, word came.

At this point, it’s not clear if the foot issue is serious or if Altuve will miss any time. He was seen during the broadcast sitting in the dugout with his teammates.
