Florida Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Blaise Ingoglia oversaw the distribution of $1.4 million in funds to local fire departments recently.
The funding is going to the fire departments to bolster equipment needed to battle blazes in local communities and provide protection for the personnel on those jobs. Some 15 departments across the state got a cut of the money.
“Our firefighters put their communities first every day they are on the job.
