Officials say a security investigator’s attempt to make a traffic stop resulted in a car chase, leaving both vehicles badly damaged.

The incident happened on Sunday morning in the area of Northwest Second Avenue and Eighth Street in Homestead.

It is unclear how many people were injured and the extent of the damages.

The investigation is ongoing.
