PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- An early morning crash in Prince George's County left two people dead on Sunday, according to police.
Troopers responded to the two-vehicle crash on northbound Route 4 at Woodyard Road shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 14. At the scene, they learned that a gray Toyota RAV4 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee had collided, according to Maryland State Police.
The driver of the RAV4 and a passenger in the Jeep both died at the crash site. However, the driver of the Jeep was treated at the scene, officials noted.
An initial investigation revealed that the RAV4 was traveling the wrong way on the roadway when it hit the Jeep head-on, according to state police.
As of Sunday morning, authorities have not released the names of those who died.
