LOS ANGELES – Another pedestrian was killed by the Metro A train in downtown Los Angeles late Saturday night.

This is the second person killed by the Metro A Line (formerly the Metro Blue Line) in the same location in less than 24 hours.

Saturday night’s victim was a male pedestrian who was struck around 11:30 p.m.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the intersection of E. Washington Blvd. and Maple Ave. and found the victim unresponsive on the train tracks and pronounced him deceased at the scene.

On Friday night, a woman was killed in the same area at 11:46 p.m. on East Washington Boulevard at Maple Avenue, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
