Two men dead after argument at KC grocery store escalates

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Two men are dead after an argument at a grocery store escalated into gunfire.

Officers with the Kansas City Police Department were called to the 6800 block of Longview Road on a reported shooting just after 7 a.m. Sunday. They found a man with gunshot wounds at the front of the grocery store. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Advertisement

Other officers were directed to the north side of the grocery store parking lot, where they found another man with gunshot wounds. Paramedics took him to a local hospital in an ambulance with life-threatening injuries. He later died from his injuries around 9 a.m. Sunday.
