SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said a child riding a bicycle was critically injured Saturday night after being struck by an SUV on the city's northeast side.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 12600 block of Uhr Lane where police said a 10-year-old boy was riding his bike crossing the street from east to west when he was struck by a GMC Envoy travelling northeast.
According to investigators, the boy failed to yield to the SUV.
He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials said he remains in critical condition.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, police said. No charges are expected.
