Vincent Kompany has hailed the ‘legendary’ Ricky Hatton after his tragic death. The iconic British boxer was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester over the weekend. And since then, tributes have been pouring in from across both boxing and football.

One of those to have offered his words was iconic former Manchester City captain Kompany .

Taking to Twitter with an image of him alongside Hatton and Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher , the now Bayern Munich manager wrote: “We’ll miss you Ricky. Our thoughts are with the family and friends. Rest in piece legend.”

Kompany is not the only former City star to have offered a tribute. Speaking live on Sky Sports, Micah Richards also gave a heart-warming message.
