One in three workers want to take a break from their job - and bosses should be 'on board'

Almost one in three employees are seriously contemplating taking prolonged breaks from their careers.

Research involving 2,000 working adults revealed 37 per cent believe their employer would be receptive to extended leave requests, whilst 64 per cent feel it ought to be a standard workplace perk.

Around a third (32 per cent) desire time off beyond their regular holiday entitlement to prevent burnout, whilst four in ten would welcome a 'micro-retirement' to prioritise their mental wellbeing.

Nearly half (48 per cent) indicated they would utilise this period for increased travel, with 41 per cent keen to dedicate additional time to their families.
