Greensboro police are attempting to identify a pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 29 North on Saturday evening.
A vehicle collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the highway near Creek Ridge Road shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The pedestrian died at the scene. As of Sunday morning, police were attempting to identify the individual.
The department did not provide a description of the person, with Public Information Manager Annette Ayres saying in an email that they wanted “to be sensitive to the fact that the individual’s family has not been notified at this time.”
The driver on the vehicle stayed at the scene of the crash, according to police.
