Post and Courier sports columnist Scott Hamilton is one of 65 voters in the Associated Press Top 25 college football poll. Here’s how his Week 3 ballot shook out:

Gone With the Wind: The Palmetto State took a big hit in Week 3. In the span of a few hours, it went from having two top-11 teams to none in these rankings.

South Carolina (2-1) was 10th and dropped out after losing to Vanderbilt, 31-7 . The Gamecocks' next play at Missouri, which is 19th on my ballot. That begins a stretch for South Carolina during which six of seven opponents are ranked.

A 55-yard field goal as time expired at Georgia Tech booted then-No. 11 Clemson out . The Tigers are 1-2 for the first time since 2014. Clemson rallied that year to win nine of its next 10 games.
