Top prospect Trey Yesavage will make his big league start for the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.
The American League-leading Jays expect to promote the highly anticipated 22-year-old right-handed pitcher to the majors and give him his first MLB start in Tampa versus the Rays.
The young pitcher was with the team in Toronto on Sunday and appeared in the Blue Jays dugout to talk with a huge throng of media.
“It’s insane. I’ve dreamed of this and it’s finally come true,” said Yesavage of his arrival to the show.
He is ranked by MLB Pipeline as the Jays’ No.1 prospect. Yesavage has had a rapid rise to the big leagues, since the Jays drafted him out of East Carolina University with their first selection in the 2024 MLB
