A motorcyclist is dead after a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning at an Oakville intersection, Halton Police said.

The incident happened at around 9 a.m. at Trafalgar and Burnhamthorpe Rd, said police spokesperson Ryan Anderson in an email.

A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, Anderson said.

Police couldn't confirm the age and gender of the motorcyclist. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Road closures at Trafalgar Road and Burnhamthorpe Road have since reopened.

Halton Police continue to investigate, Anderson said.
