EVERGREEN, Colo. (KUSA) – A trio of sisters at the scene of the Colorado high school shooting Wednesday are speaking out.
The triplets, Katie, Bella and Haily Clarkson, all attend Evergreen High School and were having lunch in a classroom when they heard gunshots.
The three huddled together after the shot rang out just after noon that day.
“I knew it was a gunshot, my heart dropped to my stomach,” they said.
In this terrifying moment, they said there was one thing they were grateful for.
“I was like if I’m ever in a school shooting, I’m gonna be so worried where my siblings are, so I’m so glad we were together, and I wasn’t worried where we were or are they OK,” they said.
