TRUCKEE, Nev. (KOLO) - The Truckee Police Department honored the women behind the badge on #NationalPoliceWomanDay , recently, according to an agency Facebook post.

“We’re proud to celebrate the strength, dedication, and leadership of the incredible women in law enforcement,” the post said.

The department expressed gratitude for Capt. Lisa Madden and Officer Anne Dunne who serve with integrity and compassion every day.

“Your courage sets the standard,” the post said. “Your service makes a difference.”

Thank you for helping keep Truckee safe and for inspiring the next generation of women in blue, the women’s colleagues said.
